Appreciation even when tired

Just a quick one.

I'm tired recently. Home life and work life are converging and it's difficult to find the moments to rest enough to get back to baseline. So of course, I hate my job and I'm sick of it.

But really, I'm just tired. Yeah it can be infuriating sometimes - dealing with pointless deadlines, people using AI all the time and forcing everyone else to as well, dealing with other people who are also just tired.

But I work in an air conditioned office. I can work from home or a coffee shop if I want to. Nobody cares or even notices if I show up an hour late or disappear in the middle of the day, nobody will argue if I try to take a day off, the work is generally interesting and the pay is a lot more than the average salary for, let's be honest, probably a lot less work.

Taken in this context, it's maybe not the perfect job but the perfect situation. If I was in any other career I'd probably drop it in a heartbeat to have what I have now. What most of us here have.

I'm just tired, and switching jobs won't make me any less tired. Maybe appreciation will, just a little.
