One the way to the airport I left my phone with both sims in a rental car. It's probably stuck in that country for a couple of months.
The flights were delayed, there's a heatwave, so generally it was a long and frustrating day and I didn't have any food in.
Have you ever tried to pay for anything online in this situation? The EU makes it all but impossible. Some places only accepted payment through the banking app. I tried to reinstall the banking app, I can't because I need to receive an SMS to verify.
Found a place that accepts debit cards. Except, there is no security number on the back of my card and I have to go into the app to get a temporary one. Luckily I found another debit card that still has a security code, so I used it and was asked to verify in the app.
Finally found a place that accepts cash, but the world is going in a very bad direction. The right thing for me to do is to get a replacement sim card tomorrow and put it in a spare phone, but I'm more tempted to find a way to live without this, so I don't get stuck again.
